Your Contact
Hi — I’m Nick Hawkes, a creative designer, front-end developer, and visual storyteller based in Devon since 2022, previously based Beds and Herts for many years. Over the past 30+ years, I’ve combined design, technology and strategy to help brands and organisations tell their story, communicate clearly, and engage their audiences.
I have a Bachelors Degree in design endorsed by the Royal College of Art (London) and a Masters Degree in design. More recently I gained a certification from google in 2017.
My Approach
Design with purpose. I believe good design isn’t decoration — it’s a tool for clarity, trust and connection. Whether it’s a logo, a website, or a marketing campaign, I aim for work that looks great and works.
Hands-on and holistic. From concept to deployment, I get involved in every stage — information architecture, UI/UX, graphic design, front-end implementation, SEO and performance.
Adaptable across sectors. Over three decades, I’ve worked across B2B, B2C, nonprofit, local government and arts sectors. That breadth gives me perspective and flexibility.
Locally rooted, globally aware. While I serve clients across the UK (and beyond), I’m proud to be based in Devon (in the Kingsteignton / Newton Abbot area). I love bringing creative energy to local projects, forging strong relationships with nearby clients.
